Birds Eye View Comes To Brighton

Film is the most powerful medium in the world, but only 7% of directors are women. Birds Eye View brings you the new generation of talent from across the globe.

Birds Eye View is the UK's top women's screening group and this Wednesday they join forces with Final Cut to present an exclusive screening of their 2006 National Tour.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 31st
HANBURY ARMS BALLROOM, KEMPTOWN
DOORS OPEN 8PM ADMISSION £4

The all-women programme contains a fabulous selection of award-winning UK and international films, including Andrea Arnold's outstanding Oscar-winning WASP starring Natalie Press (My Summer of Love) and Harry Wootliff's BAFTA-nominated NITS. Final Cut is contributing three films to the event, drawn from the best women-directed submissions to its 2006 Brighton Festival screenings, including Gil Bailey's powerful drama, THE CAR.

One of Brighton's leading dance film-makers, Magali Charrier, is attending the event and will host a Q&A afterwards. Her latest film, TRA LA LA, is included in the programme.
